this is a tiny collection of people claiming that they can help bp learn photoshop. they also admit that their photoshop-skills are bad as hell, but at least they weren’t responsible for the infamous and stupid bp-images that were shown to public last week. who knows, maybe we’ll see “bp’s got talent” in the near future, were they search for noobs who can improve bp’s image-faking skills.

wieviele grafiker braucht man, um einen photoshop-shortcut auszuführen? viele, oder nur einen mit einer verkrüppelten hand. dass photoshop nicht gerade arm an shortcuts ist, wissen sogar die anfänger-grafiker von british petroleum. doch einige sehr gefinkelte tastenkürzel sind so ausgefallen, dass man regelrechtes glück zum herausfinden braucht und diese dann nur im teamwork betätigen kann. einer davon ist das tastenkürzel für fortgesetztes transformieren…

und wieder gibt’s ein bisschen schnupperkurs. bei montagen verhält sichs leider nicht wie mit obst, das mit vorschreitendem alter an vitaminen gewinnt; oft schaut ein bild, das einem sehr gut gefallen hat, nach einigen jahren einfach schlecht aus. damals cool, heut nicht mehr knorke. folgendes ist ein 2008er remake eines im jahr 2003 entstandenen bildes.

like everyone i was psyched about the newest release of mankind’s favourite graphic design applications (at least on this particular planet). though i was, it took me quite a while to move my a** and get me a copy of this baby and now… i am disappointed. no not of the whole creative suite, but of indesign.
seems like they created this version especially for high performance rigs because my good ol’ laptope won’t run it smoothly, and a lot of people seem to have the same performance problem, that occurs when trying to resize or drag things in indesign.
what’s going on? indesign is updating every element, that is being changed on the fly. it’s called live-screen drawing, and needs a lot of power.
